Desierto de las Palmas
Mountain natural park next to Benicàssim with a Carmelite monastery, hiking trails and viewpoints over the coast. Despite its name it is not a desert: the Carmelites called it that because it was a secluded place for retreat.

It is 13 km as the crow flies from Castellón de la Plana (about 25 min by car), and 77 km from Valencia. The nearest airport with scheduled flights is Valencia, 80 km away as the crow flies.
